Today is
No, really. Well later on I did go out. And spend the whole day at Midvalley. I was meeting up with on old friend, we hooked up, walked around, watched a movie, browsed shops.
It's been ages since I've been to Midvalley, no thanks to the piece of crap that is the KTM- which I need to take to get there. After walking into Jusco I decided I need to get out of Bukit Jalil/Sri Petaling more often.Wall.E was decent, but not mind-blowingly fabulous. The soppy romance between two robots (of all things) didn’t do much for me, rather it was the subtle message I felt the movie was trying to portray. I don’t know which is worse; a fate of being morbidly obese in space for 700 years, or one like in Soylent Green. Dinner was a huge パン from the bakery outside Jusco because the movie was at 6pm.
The single 3 things that made me happy today (apart from having a good time with an old friend):
1. McDonalds RM2 chocolate sundae
God I should be having this more often. We tried queuing up for Baskin Robbin’s 31% off but the queue was so long and they were all brandishing this coupon thing and we really didn’t know what to do. In the end we left and got the sundaes in 5 minutes and a couple of bucks, god knows it made me just as happy as having to wait half an hour for discounted yet still overpriced ice-cream.
Variety-wise, it owns Carrefour, where I usually get my groceries. Apart from tasting every single free sample there was (and there were lots of it) I must have spent an hour lingering over the Japanese food section. I rarely get to see so much Japanese food so concentrated in a single area, and to take my time browsing through everything, was heaven. Bought カレ.
I CAN HAS カレ
3. Huge パン
I love huge buns...literally of course. In fact pastries are wonderful and bakeries are the best things since....sliced bread. (Yes, I always envied Takato Matsuda.) But anyway, I had a huge bun and that made me happy. ^^
So, Happy Merdeka Day to those who feel strongly about it. As a Sarawakian, 31st August should mean less than 16th September, but when I'm in a good mood I'm less inclined to partake of my normal RAGE rants. And I just realized the things that made me happy are all edibles. I hope I'm not turning into a foodie urgh.

And you have Japanese curry!!! omg tht is the one curry i think i have yet to try. I want!!! So how does it taste like? Similar to chinese curry or malay curry or???
Wait till you see Yakitake Japan!. The fact I learnt how to make bread with a rice cooker there (it works, just that mine is
a) not very edible
b)there is a reason why bread is in square shapes and not round
)
tells you that the Japanese can do anything.
Yeah, we need to find the Matsuda Bakery sometime.
@hana: Haven't tried cooking it yet. I think you can get Japanese food in some supermarkets over there....can you? I so wanna try cooking more types of Japanese food in future (if all goes well first XD).
@tim:Bread in a microwave? Wow. I wanted to try making steamed cake but I don't really know how that works, have no ingrediants and can't be arsed to do all that manual bashing and beating. When I'm back for hari raya I'm gonna bake to my hearts content. :D
so you found soylent green. do you have it torrented?
nah the supermarkets in my area don't sell cuz its more of an angmoh area. Have to go either chinatown or little tokyo whatever those little asian towns are called to get those and im so lazy cause have to take trains or stuff.
do blog about your curry when u cook it and tell me how it taste like then i shall decided whether to go and buy a packet for myself also lol.
yes do cook more japanese food haha cause mine is only limited to sushi and instant ramen LOL.
last time i bought a JAL japanese curry also, pretty nice
juz buy more beef, some vege add into it, taste delicious~~
@limeu: I watched it on Youtube. They censored out too many things. >.<
@hana: Then take the train! I'm sure public transport is way better lol.:D Anyway yeah I will blog about it, was planning to anyway. I'm doing pasta first.
@otaku: What kind of vege? Anyway my pack is the wet type, not the paste. It feels lumpy so I'm assuming they're bits of carrots, potatoes etc in there. Next time I'll try the paste and get my own condiments.
